Description
Cisco Unified Communications Manager (UCM) 7.0 is the third major release of Cisco UCM based on the Linux platform. This course focuses on the features introduced in version UCM 7.0, including a discussion of how to migrate from 4.x, 5.x, and 6.x platforms. Since Cisco’s UCM serves as a critical component in a Cisco IP Telephony implementation, this course is an important ingredient for any engineer striving to master Cisco’s approach to IP Telephony.

Audience
Implementing Cisco Unified Communications Manager 7.0 Features (UCM70) v1.0 is designed for students with a solid background in Cisco voice and data networking. The course is ideal for technicians who use or are training to use the Cisco Unified Communications Manager product. It is also beneficial for students who build Cisco voice architectures. UCM70 is also recommended for students attempting Cisco’s CCVP certification or are pursuing Cisco Voice CCIE certification, which is based on the 7.0 version of Cisco UCM.

Prerequisites
To benefit fully from this course, students should have the following prerequisite courses/skills and knowledge:
  • Working knowledge of fundamental terms and concepts of computer networking, including LANs, WANs, and IP switching and routing
  • Working knowledge of voice networks
  • The ability to configure Cisco UCM 4.x, 5.x, and/or 6.x
  • The ability to configure Cisco IOS gateways
