“I like how [during the live training] the instructor would periodically pause and have you chat in a response to a quick question to know if everyone was keeping pace with the lesson. That was different. It kept me on my toes and engaged in the lesson. While it was still difficult to squeeze in the time necessary for the class it was much less expensive and time consuming than traveling off site to another location for up to a week of pounding my brain into the subject matter. It broke things up and made it easier to digest and come back fresh for the next class. I have discussed allowing time to leave work with my direct reports. This will allow them to focus solely on the course for the remainder of their day. We have yet to give this a try but I think it will benefit them to get away from everything going on at work to get a good environment to learn from.”
